This is my first post to my new WordPress weblog, a blog I’ve created to communicate with my collaborators in a course titled “Computer Supported Collaborative Writing”. The students in the course have blogs, too; they’ll be writing on theirs as I’ll be writing on mine while we do research toward an article we’ll write together. What is the subject of this article to be? Why, collaboration, of course!
So I’m off to find five sources on collaboration to blog about. These need to be scholarly sources that deal with collaboration as a concept, that address collaboration in theory and possibliy discuss applications of a theory or theories of collaboration to group project situations. Once I have found them, I’ll blog about them, a little at a time. The others will do the same. By next Wednesday, when we meet again face to face, we should have much to talk about.
But first, I have another assignment to do: a blog entry about my own writing process. The better we know ourselves, the better equipped we’ll be to handle ourselves when alone and with others.
